Q. How much do I have to raise?
A. 10,000ft (approx 2 miles high) Tandem jump-including
30 second freefall while strapped to an instructor:
Euro 650.
Q. When can I jump?
A. Jumps take place all year round except in very
bad weather such as gales, snow, heavy rain etc.
Q. How many planes?
A. There are two planes. One large enough to accomodate
six and one smaller plane.
Q. How many can jump in a day?
A. 25-30 first time students can jump in any
one day.
Q. After I have collected my required sponsorship
money, what do I do next?
A. Just phone our office any time after 10am and
someone will advise you on the next step. If emailing
us please allow at lest four weeks until you intend
doing the jump and please provide your mobile no. and
details of the best time to contact you.
Q. When is the best time to jump?
A. Dates during the summer are heavily booked so
if you want to be sure of a specific date be sure to
allow at least four weeks notice. Please don't book
a jump unless you are fairly sure you can attend. This
not only wastes the time of the Tandem Masters who give
their time freely but denies someone else the opportunity
to jump and raise money for charity. We understand people
may need to cancel but please try to give us a few days
notice.
Q. How long does it take to prepare?
A. If you arrive at 10am you will be the first to
be trained and may be away at 12. Any later and it might
be late in the afternoon. As you arrive and paperwork
is completed, your name is placed on the manifest board.
This is used to see who is next to jump throughout the
day and keep an orderly queue. Due to refuelling, bad
weather, pilots breaks and several other factors delays
may occur. We ask that you be patient and bear with
us if you are required to wait.
Q. What if I don't get to jump on the day I booked?
A. The Chief Instructor will inform you if he has
availability the following day. This is not always possible
as another group may be booked in for that day. If this
happens you will be instructed to phone the office to
book for a new date. Occasionally in summer, jumps take
place late in the evening which you will be welcome
to participate in. Vernon will advise of opening hours
outside of the normal.
Q. Do I receive a record of my jump?
A. Yes, you will receive a first jump tandem certificate
issued by the Chief Instructor and a thank you note
and receipt form the NCBI when the paperwork is processed.
Q. Sounds great, whats the next step?
A. Simple. Just download the registration
form and send it back to us with you or your groups
registration fee.
If you have a question which is not covered here,
please contact us and we will
do our best to answer it.
